Another shooting in the Old Kent Road

A 38-year-old man was shot in the back outside Virgo's nightclub in the Old Kent Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers from Trident South Shootings Team are appealing for witnesses and
information on the incident which happened at 1.10am on Monday 11 September.

The 38-year-old victim was leaning against the crowd barriers when he
suffered a gunshot wound to his back.

He was taken to King's College Hospital where he has since been discharged and is recovering from his injuries.

Offices say that they are keeping an open mind regarding the motive at this early stage.

Virgo's nightclub is just yards away from Madron Street where another man was shot on Thursday evening.
