Shooting outside Old Kent Road nightclub

Police say that they were called to Virgo's nightclub at about 4.20am on Bank Holiday Monday where they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim, in her thirties, is said to be in a "serious, but stable" condition in hospital.

Officers from Operation Trident are investigating the incident.

Old Kent Road was closed to traffic following the incident.

The incident comes less than a week after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Old Kent Road.
