The World as a Stage at Tate Modern

The central work is Rita McBride's Arena 1997, a fibreglass rendition of stadium seating. Other prominent works on display are Mario Ybarra Jr's Sweeney Tate 2007, a cleverly designed barbershop, and a haunting atmospheric blue room by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster.

This eclectic exhibition showcases the normal and everyday as well as more distant, ethereal ideas. The odd placement of several works, as well as the surprising nature of the sights and sounds in the exhibit provide a unique experience for the viewer. Not only does this exhibit grab the attention of the viewer, but it requires a certain amount of participation as well.
