Motorcyclist fatally injured in Southwark Street collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to fatal collision between a car and a motorbike in Southwark Street last Wednesday.

A motorcyclist travelling west along Southwark Street collided with a Volkswagen Polo turning right into Redcross Way at about 2.55pm on Wednesday 27 February.

The motorcyclist, a 38 year old man, was taken to the Royal London Hospital suffering serious head and abdominal injuries. He died on Sunday 2 March.

A post mortem will take place on Wednesday 5 March at Greenwich Mortuary. An inquest will open and adjourn in due course.
