Pearly kings and queens depicted on St Thomas' Street hoarding
Images of Pearly Kings and Queens and butterflies by street artist Pure Evil have appeared on the hoardings around the former St Thomas' Church near London Bridge.
Street artist Pure Evil, who has a gallery in Shoreditch, added the images to the black hoardings earlier this week.
The church building, which has been empty for many years, is currently being refurbished by its new owners The Cathedral Group for use as the company's headquarters.
The building was destabilised during work on the Jubilee line extension and has been on English Heritage's buildings at risk register for some years.
The Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret in the roof space above the church is open as usual during the building works.
