The Waterloo Carnival came to Lower Marsh and Waterloo Millennium Green with activities for all ages themed on The Wizard of Oz.

The lunchtime carnival procession began at Johanna Primary School and made its way along Lower Marsh, Westminster Bridge Road and Baylis Road before weaving through the Tanswell Estate to Waterloo Millennium Green.

Groups taking part in the procession included pupils from Johanna Primary School, young people from Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre and senior citizens from Blackfriars Settlement.

At the end of the procession Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey thanked all the participants and sponsors for taking part in the carnival.

This year's event had more stalls and entertainment in Lower Marsh till late on Friday night.

Stalls in Lower Marsh included The Old Vic promoting its £5 tickets for local residents, the Waterloo Brasserie, Morley College and Southbank Mosaics. The Museum of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain set up The Olde Apothecary & Alchemy Shoppe offering liquorice cures.
