Appeal for Tower Bridge Road collision witnesses

The incident occurred just south of the junction with Abbey Street at about 4pm.

The two vehicles involved, a German-registered red articulated lorry and a
black Vespa scooter, were both travelling south at the time of the collision.

The rider of the scooter, a woman in her forties, was pronounced dead at the
scene.

The driver of the lorry was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and was bailed to return to a south London police station in November.
