Bermondsey flat fire: Old Bailey trial
A man charged with murder and attempted murder after a fire in a Weston Street flat has been remanded into custody to appear at the Old Bailey.
Stephen John Singer, aged 36, who also faces a charge of arson, appeared at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court on Monday. He will face trial at the Central Criminal Court in November.
Ms Sparks' 17-month-old son, rescued from the flat by neighbours, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
