Man knocked unconscious in London Bridge Station assault

BTP Detective Sergeant Sam Blackburn said the men were seen on CCTV footage following an altercation with another man near the ticket barriers to platforms 1 to 5.

"The two men had a pug dog with them and were captured on CCTV at London Bridge mainline station around 9pm last night [Tuesday].

"It would seem there was a dispute between the two males and another male at the station. The victim was knocked unconscious during the incident and the two males were last seen boarding a train to Sevenoaks.

"We would appeal for the men in the CCTV to come forward to assist police with their inquiries. We would also like to hear from any other members of the public who may have been at the station at the time and witnessed the assault.

"The 33-year-old victim was taken to hospital suffering a head injury. He is in a stable condition and remains in hospital."

The men in the stills are described as white males, aged in their mid to late 20s and both with short brown hair. One male was wearing a dark shirt and a green cardigan and was about 5ft 10inches tall. The other male was described as 6ft tall, and was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a dark coloured bomber-style jacket.

Police are appealing to anyone who can identify the men to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or the Witness Appeal Line on 020 7391 5275 quoting incident number 656 14/10/2008.
