A man, thought to be aged around 30, is in a stable condition in hospital after he was found with puncture wounds in Oxley Close on Saturday night.

Police officers were called to Oxley Close – just north of Rolls Road in Bermondsey – shortly before 8pm on Saturday night.

On arrival they found a white man, aged around 30, with puncture wounds. He was taken to a south London hospital where his condition is described as 'stable'.

The incident is being investigated by Southwark Police; officers say they are keeping an open mind about any motive for the incident.

Officers conducted door-to-door inquiries in Oxley Close and Chaucer Drive on Saturday night.
