Tate Modern’s turbine hall shut for rest of year

The former turbine hall of Bankside Power Station will be closed to the public for the rest of a year whilst a new bridge is built to link the main galleries of Tate Modern to the new south-west extension.

The new bridge will connect the old and new galleries at level 4.

The Tanks will also be closed to the public whilst the turbine hall is out of action.

During the closure, visitors will enter the gallery from the riverside entrance on Bankside or the small door next to the cafe on the west end of the building.
