News International could swap Wapping for London Bridge
The owners of The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun could move their London offices to the 'baby Shard' development at London Bridge.
Estates Gazette reports that News International is in negotiations with the owners of 'The Place' development next to London Bridge Station.
The Place – a 17-storey block designed by Renzo Piano – has been developed by the same Anglo-Qatari consortium as the adjacent Shard skyscraper.
Rupert Murdoch's UK newspapers are presently based at Thomas More Square, a Land Securities development next door to the company's former 'Fortress Wapping' plant.
NI had previously been linked with the Westminster Place scheme in Waterloo.
