Borough High Street & St Thomas Street junction: new TfL plans

At present there is no pedestrian phase at the traffic lights where Borough High Street meets St Thomas Street and Bedale Street, close to Borough Market and London Bridge Station.

Transport for London has launched a public consultation on plans for a new all-round pedestrian green phase including a diagonal crossing between Borough Market and the Borough High Street entrance to London Bridge Underground Station as well as a a crossing on the southern arm of the junction where no facility currently exists.

TfL also says it will widen the crossings to make it easier for pedestrians to get across the road.

Public consultation continues until Monday 5 January.
