Mr Mondal travelled to the Darjeeling province in the foothills of the Himalayas last month where he produced tea from the first harvest – known as the first flush – of this year's crop.

Tea2You brought three bags of tea to Southwark Cathedral on Thursday where the dean, the Very Revd Andrew Nunn, presided at a short service of thanksgiving and blessing in the Harvard Chapel.

Mr Mondal recommends enjoying the tea without milk and without using a strainer.

Tea2You's shop is located in Three Crown Square at Borough Market.
