Female-led food businesses compete for Mercato Metropolitano spot

Mercato Metropolitano has teamed up with Peabody and Hatch to support female food entrepreneurs to help turn an enthusiastic foodie's dream into a thriving business.

Would-be traders have until 6pm on Friday 25 May to submit their entry for the chance to win use of a shack at MM from July to September, together with up to £1,000 towards capital start-up costs.

The winner will also have their set-up fee at MM waived (worth around £5,000), as well as being charged a reduced commission fee on sales.

The winning business will receive mentoring from MM on food quality, product sourcing and marketing, as well as business and financial mentoring from Hatch Enterprise, and one day per week's access to a co-working space in Walworth.
