Sponsor an hour of journalism

Help us to cover local politics and public services

James Hatts

Local journalism is a time-consuming business.

For years we've reported on more council meetings in Lambeth and Southwark than anyone else.

If we're to continue keeping tabs on local public services, we need your help.

We'd like to pay our contributors at least the London Living Wage (currently £10.55 an hour).

Attending a planning committee meeting might take three or four hours. Writing up the outcome of the meeting might take another hour or two.

But the ad revenue from a typical article doesn't come close to meeting that cost.

Please consider sponsoring an hour of London Living Wage so that we can continue to cover local politics and play a small part in holding politicians and institutions to account.
