Waterloo Community Development Group General Meeting at Southwark College

Regular public meeting of the group that monitors proposed developments in Waterloo.

Hear from the developers, ask questions and help to shape the community's response.

Tonight's agenda includes a new housing and restaurant development on Joan Street, providing 18 private family-sized flats and a restaurant on the ground floor facing the existing restaurants in the Isabella Street arches. Will this complement the emerging night-time uses, or contribute to problems of disturbance to existing residents?

And discuss local environment policy and open spaces: What planning policies should WCDG promote to force improvements to the quality of life in Waterloo?

Bankside Open Spaces Trust will help consider the future for open spaces including Waterloo Millennium Green.

Before the meeting starts there is an opportunity (from 6.30pm) to view the proposals for a new swimming pool and large student tower block in Vauxhall.
