Old Southwark in the Blitz

Neil Bright leads a walk showing how this historic old borough endured various stages of the Blitz between 1940 and 1945.

Examine how Southwark also suffered on the infamous night of 29 December 1940 along with the City, plus a horrendous V1 strike.

Neil will show you the remaining evidence of the war years and recount many incidents and stories.

Finishes outside the Imperial War Museum approx 1.45pm.
