For the fifth year London's largest free Bastille Day festival will celebrate France's national day with an extravaganza of all things French around Bankside and Borough Market.

Celebrating French food and culture, the festival will host a feast of culinary delights from food and drink sampling, French artisan food stalls and Président® cheese giveaways. A fun filled programme of activities including a traditional waiters' race, pétanque, table football, a hat making workshop, story telling, face painting, a bike surgery and gastronomic film screenings.

Throughout the day and evening Borough Market will be joining in with celebrations with food from their array of French traders, wandering performers and a French themed demonstration kitchen.

Street entertainment including promenading performance artists and musicians promise to bring the streets to life in Bankside.

Visitors can also expect Bastille Day discounts at Bankside attractions.

The festival will be brought to a close with an open air party around Borough Market between 6pm and midnight with live music, DJ, performances, dancing and singing.

Revellers will be encouraged to dress in the spirit of the event, with the best attired wining prizes including a meal for two at local French restaurant La Cave.
