Jubilee Jamboree at Waterloo Millennium Green

Oasis is hosting a free party for the local community to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with funding from WaCoCo through the Lambeth Forum Network.

Those attending will be encouraged to bring a picnic and come and enjoy the celebrations catering for all age groups including free live musical performances, children's entertainment, refreshments, a community fair and a world record attempt.

To celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Oasis Waterloo Hub is hoping to set a new Guinness World Record to create the world's longest line of bunting as a lasting legacy of this celebration.

The Oasis Jubilee Buntathon will be organised with the assistance of Waterloo Action Centre and Great Lakes African Women's Network.

For a finale, the event has also been registered as one of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee 2012 Beacon sites. A network of over 2,012 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom. The Waterloo beacon will be lit at 10.26pm.
