Roman London

Local history is brought vividly to life by writer and performer John Constable, author of The Southwark Mysteries and Secret Bankside – Walks In The Outlaw Borough.

This walk explores recent excavations around London Bridge - visiting the sites of Roman baths, temples, a market-arcade and the final resting-place of a female gladiator. A journey back through 2,000 years to when this area was a bustling Roman port.
