This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The war memorials formerly displayed at Southwark Town Hall will be rededicated in the atrium of the council's new Tooley Street headquarters.

The memorials are dedicated to staff of the Old Metropolitan Borough of Camberwell who gave their lives during the two World Wars.

The Bishop of Southwark, Rt Revd Christopher Chessun, will take part in the ceremony and will be joined by other religious leaders as well as representatives of the armed forces.

The Mayor of Southwark, the leader of the council and the chief executive will attend.

Members of the public are also most welcome to attend.

The council is also looking for assistance in tracing any living relations of those listed on the war memorials.
