Dragon Cafe at St George the Martyr

The Dragon Cafe is held every Monday in the Crypt of St George the Martyr church - but this week's programme for St George's Eve is even more packed than usual:

12 noon: Southwark's Great Dragon Quest - led by John Constable & Katy Nicholls, a guided walk with clues to seek out the many Dragons and St George's to be found in the locality. A creative workshop will follow the adventure.

4.30pm: East meets West Dragon Parade - 2 huge Dragons will meet and dance around St George the Martyr Church to the sounds of Samba by Bloco Maluco, plus Chinese musicians and dancers from the Confucius Institute (London South Bank University).

5.30pm: Talk on Chinese Year of the Dragon (2012) and The Year of the Snake (2013) by the Confucius Institute (LSBU).

6.30pm: Wooden Bucket Folk Band - fine music celebrating English Folk traditions.

7pm: We Need to Talk About... St George, The Dragon AND The Maiden - two talks with discussion by England's expert on St George, Dr Sam Riches, and Dragon Cafe Creative Director, Sarah & Thomas Tobias.
