Waterloo Charity Bake-off at Emma Cons Gardens

Local food businesses have been invited to enter a cake creation to represent them in an event to benefit the Waterloo Food Bank.

The cakes will go on public display on Emma Cons Gardens (opposite the Old Vic theatre) from 12 noon.

Kimberley Wilson, finalist on last year's BBC Great British Bake Off, and Gerhard Jenne of Konditor & Cook will assess the baking skills of the Waterloo hopefuls and announce the winning creation at 1pm.

Members of the public are invited to come along to the 'big' cake sale and try a slice of cake (or two) between 5-7pm to help raise funds for the Waterloo Food Bank.

Waterloo businesses signed up to take part include Eden Catering, H10 London Waterloo Hotel, Cubana, Horse & Stables, The Walrus, Windmill Taverns, Raffo & Ridgeway and HMP Brixton's Bad Boys Bakery.
