Shakespeare's Globe invites the whole borough of Southwark to celebrate the festive season with A Concert for Winter.

The annual community concert from Globe Education is for all who live, work or learn in Southwark.

This year includes performances from an older people's home, a nursery school and a mental health charity, with participants ranging in age from 3 to 93 all performing on the famous Globe stage.

Eight groups representing the diversity and variety that Southwark has to offer will present their choice of music, movement and spoken word, around this year's theme: Stories of Southwark.

Performances will be from Spa School, the Dragon Cafe a creative social project, The Blackfriars Nightingales choir from Blackfriars Settlement older peoples' services, the Borough Market Choir, Sound Café at Creative Therapies Project mental health service, Michael Faraday Primary School, Charles Dickens Primary School, Dulwich Wood Nursery School, and the POETree group from CoolTan Arts, a mental health and arts charity. They will be joined by staff and students from Shakespeare's Globe forming the Globe Choir.
