Disabled Access Day

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

A drop-in session in the new Dorfman Foyer for anyone who would like to know a bit more about accessibility at the NT.

Alongside teas and coffees there will be the opportunity to take a look at a captioning units, to experience pre-recorded programme notes on headsets (which the theatre provides for anyone using Audio Described services) and there will be opportunities for people to visit backstage.

Staff will be on hand to meet people and answer questions, and there will be a selection of print materials which give more information about Access at the National Theatre.

Staff hope to welcome familiar faces and people new to the National Theatre who might not know about the services available to them; audio described, BSL interpreted and captioned performances, relaxed performances and accessible bars, cafes, shops and restaurants.
