From the Romans to Norman Foster

2000 years of history in the City of London

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The walk starts on the riverside, with sweeping views of HMHS Belfast, the Shard, and Norman Foster's City Hall and the 'More London' development.

The route then crosses Tower Bridge and visits St Katharine Dock: once part of London's bustling docks, now transformed into a beautiful marina and an oasis of calm.

As you explore the Square Mile you will see Roman remains standing cheek by jowl with 21st-century daring designs in glass and steel, such as the Gherkin, the Cheesegrater, and the Walkie-Talkie.

Part of Walk London's Winter Wanders weekend.
