PubSci: Where's My Mummy?

Dr Tom Booth from the Natural History Museum will be talking about the fascinating detective work behind a 4,000 year old mummy mystery.

In 2005 a team of archaeologists discovered evidence which suggested that around 4000 years ago, the bodies of a man and a woman were mummified and buried at a Bronze Age settlement in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

Further investigation revealed that both bodies had been reassembled out of the preserved anatomical parts of at least three people. Was preservation and curation of the dead a widespread practice in Britain during the Bronze Age?
