During March and April Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust will be holding elections for 13 places on its Members' Council. This is the body of local people, patients and staff set up to help advise the Trust on how it carries out its work.

Local people who are interested in standing for election are invited to attend this meeting to find out more abaout what being on the Members' Council involves. The meeting is also a chance to meet staff and other members of the Trust who are already on the Council.

"The Members' Council has a very important role within the Trust, and the input we receive from them is invaluable," says chief executive Sir Jonathan Michael.

"The Council is one of the most important ways that we get feedback from local people and patients about the way we run their hospitals. I encourage people to consider standing for election."
