Join Leigh Hatts (author of The Pilgrims' Way) and Marion Marples for this mini pilgrimage from Southwark Cathedral to the Old Kent Road, following in the footsteps of thousands of pilgrims including Chaucer and his characters from his Canterbury Tales.

Departing from Southwark Cathedral this will be a leisurely stroll stopping off at a number of interesting points at London Bridge and Borough High Street, including Talbot Yard where the Tabard Inn stood which was the set off point for many pilgrims, the historic George Inn, St George the Martyr Church and its Dickens connections and Tabard Street where its flats are all named after Kent villages you would visit on the full route to Canterbury.
