York House, Westminster Place
York House: Delancy want to replace this building with Westminster Place (right)

Regular public meeting of the group that monitors development in the Waterloo area. Hear developers present their plans and contribute to the debate.

In 2005 Delancy consulted on proposals to redevelop offices and a pub at York House into a large glass office building. Although permission was granted, the site remains boarded up. Now Delancy are proposing a different design, including utilizing the back of the site and car park under the Waterloo International viaduct. The 15 storey building would have offices and some retail, but no parking apart from two disabled spaces. What would you like to see happen on this site?

The Royal Festival Hall and its extensions have been open for a year. The various restaurants and cafes have been such a success that the South Bank is now the fifth most popular eating destination in London. Now the Southbank Centre propose to extend the retail under Hungerford Bridge, as well as tidy up the confused connections between the bridges, the riverside, and the RFH terraces. Mike McCart explains.
