Waterloo is an area undergoing great change and development but what of the lives of the residents? How do we process our environment in flux and what do we hold onto?

Aoife Mannix is an Irish writer and poet based in London. Her first full collection of poetry 'The Elephant in the Corner' was published in 2005. She is currently touring her poetry and music show 'Growing up an Alien' with Apples and Snakes supported by Arts Council England.

Over two workshops in Waterloo library (the second is on 29 May) Aoife will guide participants through a creative and poetic response to Waterloo, past, present and future.
