Giant New Zealand rugby ball

A giant 25-metre rugby ball comes to Potters Fields Park to to lure Londoners to sample a taste of what New Zealand has to offer from sports, arts, culture to food wine to stunning scenery.

The rugby theme aims to attract attention to New Zealand as the host nation for the next Rugby World Cup in 2011.

The ball is also the chosen venue by the International Rugby Board for its Pool Allocation Draw for the Rugby World Cup 2011 on 1 December. It will be the first time that IRB World Rankings will be utilised to place teams into bands for the draw.

During the day the ball will be open to the public, promoting New Zealand tourism, trade, culture, and lifestyle, food, wine, and technology.

Visitors to the ball will experience a series of innovative sound and light displays emulating a variety of Kiwi environments. From bush walks to rugby games, they will also see examples of New Zealand's culture and business innovation.
