Did you know that the celebrated director Stanley Kubrick's archive arrived at LCC in March 2007 and has its own study centre here?

Come and see the archives and special collections centre, where highlights include: Records, videocassettes, and audio reels with film sound and interviews; location research and art department photographs and material; scripts in various stages with annotations, handwritten and machine typed; props including the Star Child from '2001: A Space Odyssey', Wendy's knife and Jack's axe and novel from 'The Shining'. Three army vehicles from 'Full Metal Jacket' and props from 'Eyes Wide Shut'; costumes from 'Barry Lyndon', 'The Shining', 'Eyes Wide Shut' (including many masks) and Dan Richter's ape costume from '2001: A Space Odyssey'; call sheets, shooting schedules, continuity reports and polaroids that provide details of the actual filming situations.
