How far would you go to save animals?

The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) will be holding a public talk for animal lovers interested in participating in one of WSPA's overseas challenges in 2009.

WSPA is organising four overseas challenges in 2009. These are opportunities to walk, cycle, trek or even climb mountains for the charity and see their unique animal protection work in action. The challenges are are:

Bear Adventure (6 -12 September)
Unique opportunity to walk through the beautiful Carpathian Mountains in Romania and see rescued bears at the WSPA built bear sanctuary

Trek Mount Kilimanjaro (14 - 25 October)
Trekkers ascend Africa's tallest free standing mountain through varied terrain, including rainforests, moorland and lush meadows and to top it off participants will get to visit a human animal conflict project supported by WSPA

Borneo Jungle Explorer (6 -16 November)
Participants trek through the Kalimantan, an ancient, remote rainforest home to the Dayak people and endangered orangutans. They also visit the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan sanctuary supported by WSPA

London to Paris bike ride (23-27 September)
Saving animals can be as easy as riding a bike. WSPA offers places on one of the great cycling experiences of Europe - the 420 km London to Paris bike ride

Don't miss this opportunity to hear knowledgeable talks on WSPA's animal welfare projects. Speakers at the talk will include, WSPA's bear expert Victor Watkins, Wildlife Manager Iris Marurek and Jane Rockliffe. As well Rob Fielding from Discover Adventure who will be answering all your questions.

WSPA overseas challenges are the perfect opportunity to see some of the most stunning places in the world and gain a lasting sense of achievement. Not only will you be testing yourself physically and mentally but you will also be helping to fund WSPA's work.

A training programme is provided for all the challenges and support offered to help trekkers raise sponsorship money.
