This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

London South Bank University is marking the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of Species and the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth with a lecture by Professor Steve Jones, Professor of Genetics and Head of the Biology department at University College London, and one of the best known contemporary popular writers and broadcasters on evolution.

He will address the question of the extent to which the degree of control that modern societies have over their environment and survival affects the evolution of the species.

If you wish to attend this event, please email your name to Mark Ellis at [email protected]. If you are coming with friends, please indicate the number of seats you would like, and the names of the people who are coming with you. There will be a register on the door.
