Art Treasure Trail

Organised by publisher DK this free art treasure trail challenges Intrepid Treasure Trailers to explore London's art galleries, discovering exciting artworks and picking up clues along the way to complete a puzzle.

Their reward is a cool hands-on Art Masterclass Party where they will make a giant collage for display in the Dali Universe on the South Bank.

The trail is taking place to celebrate the publication of DK's new Children's Book of Art - a book that squeezes together centuries of art from the first daubs of paint in prehistoric caves to some of the most important movements including Impressionism and Surrealism.

For the trail DK has teamed up with Hayward Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery and the Dali Universe.

Kicking off at Tthe National Gallery on the morning of Wednesday 28th October with goody bags, the trail brings art to life and will take kids from one gallery to another, culminating at the Dali Universe where there will be a host of fun art activities including face painters, self-portraits, a giant collage and a short history of art by actors.

Plus, anyone with a completed route map will be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
