The evening will provide a platform for parents, carers and local residents to discuss their concerns regarding the safety of young people in the local area with experts.

Grace Idowu, the mother of the late David Idowu who was killed at Tabard Gardens in 2008, will be in attendance to share some of her experiences and advice.

Other speakers include Globe Academy principal Jason Baigent and Jonathan Toy, head of community safety at Southwark Council.

There will also be a stall set up by the community wardens with leaflets and information, a presentation by some ex-students and the opportunity for networking.

Attendees will learn about the work professionals are doing with and for young people.

A panel will then be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

The aim is to get the community to work together to keep our young people safe.
