Ganet's Adventure School Fund, a small South London based charity, is calling on cyclists to join in a ride from Tower Bridge to Rochester to raise £4,000 for the construction of classrooms in a primary school in Malawi.
Be part of a big cycling adventure leading from the heart of London, passing spots along the River Thames which are famous for their culture, history and wildlife. The ride finishes in the Medway town of Rochester.
The route is a mostly traffic and hill-free, and so is suitable for cyclists of all abilities, even if you're not a regular rider. It follows a section of the well-signposted National Cycle Network.
• Riding through the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich
• Passing by the Thames Barrier
• A chance to salute Antony Gormley's sculptures standing guard outside Woolwich Arsenal
• Crossing Crayford Salt Marshes
• A chance to see the world's oldest standing iron pier at Gravesend
• The route ends in Rochester, close to the Norman castle
