Today’s telegraph has another extract from Jools Oliver’s new book:
Our first outing was to Borough Market (a Saturday- morning food market where Jamie buys all the dream produce he uses to make our mammoth weekend feasts). He really wanted to show Poppy off to his mates, although I would have preferred a trip to the shops, or a walk in the local park.
Nowadays, Jamie takes both our girls to Borough Market most Saturday mornings. For me, it’s a chance to eat my breakfast in peace without food being smeared on the floor. And for Jamie, mad though I think he is, his treat after a whole week at work is to bundle the little girls into the car, and take them food shopping. Both girls always come running in with samples that the market has to offer down the front of their clothes, but they’re so happy.
