One Westminster Bridge – the former GLC County Hall annexe due to be replaced by a Park Plaza hotel – is Britain’s 11th ugliest building, according to a poll for Channel 4′s new Demolition programme.
Asked earlier this year which building she would demolish if she ruled the world, Ann Widdecombe replied: “That ghastly, awful, beastly thing that sits by County Hall at the end of Westminster Bridge. I have no idea what it’s called but it’s a hideous monstrosity.”
