Job/role description

To lead on the day to day delivery of our SE1 Sports Festival, for school groups, and other visitors, at the Marlborough Playground during July.

This will involve working on site intensively during July with a small team of volunteers to welcome schools and visitors to the project. Leading school groups and managing support from volunteers and other staff, will be key.

The Sports Festival will be based in new temporary and permanent structures being constructed specially for us. We have planned facilities for table tennis, beach volleyball, tennis, track, martial arts, and five a side football. We need a timetable of workshops to introduce people to these sports, and give exciting tasters in others such as tai chi or archery.

To do this, we need someone special combining a good understanding of sports, great organisational and communication skills, experience of managing volunteers, lots of energy and a calm approach to problem solving.

May 10 days June 9 days, July 22 days, and August 8 days Total 49 days.
This will involve some weekend working during July
5 days leave allowance to be taken during August only.

Salary Grade NJC Scale 23-26 depending on experience.
This is equivalent to £23407- £26257 pro rata – equivalent to between £90 and £100 a day
