About this role

Taking part in a rota of supervising a group of gardening volunteers at Waterloo Millennium Green and community managed parks in north Southwark and facilitating the gardening clubs at one or more community food growing projects.

Supported by staff including our Community Parks Facilitator and Community Garden Educator, as well as site wardens.

Person description

We would love to work with someone who is experienced in leading groups to undertake gardening and committed to promoting green places for the local community.

About Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST)

BOST brings people together to create and care for inspiring green places.

We do this by facilitating volunteers and community champions, supporting food growing areas in housing estates, and running outdoor activities and events. Together we care for gardens and parks across the SE1 area.

We have sole responsibility for Red Cross Garden, Waterloo Millennium Green, and the Marlborough Sportsgarden. We value the partnerships we are building to do all this, including with residents, businesses, and local authorities.

Your CV should include a statement (no more than one side of A4) setting out how you meet the person specification. You may like to include a photo of yourself gardening or leading a volunteer group but this is not essential. Technical details:- Two references for use after interview and confirmation of your right to work in the UK.
