We are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant /admin person to join a team running a small but busy office. The company is in the B2B telecoms sector, specialising in the supply and support of mobiles/ smartphones/ iPads to business customers. Initially, the position is offered on a part-time basis (two days a week).
Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills are essential to the role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties will include full responsibility for day-to-day book-keeping/accounting matters using Quickbooks. (high level of proficiency with this package is an absolute pre-requisite). General accounting duties will include customer invoicing, posting of all bills, banking, cash books and bank recs, accrual & prepayments, expenses, Barclaycard reconciliations, VAT, a good working relationship with suppliers’/customers’ accounts departments, and regular reconciliation of all BL/SL accounts, plus occasional credit control.
Proficiency using MS Excel and MS Word essential. General office duties include the responsibility for regular document filing/archiving and dealing with external suppliers.
Essential / Desirable
The successful candidate will be used to working in a busy admin/ back-office environment, have a positive attitude, able to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision. Exposure to the B2B mobile industry would be an advantage, as would experience in working with sales teams and senior management.
