Christmas banned in Waterloo?

Lambeth Council has denied media reports that Christmas has been banned in the borough following the circulation of publicity for 'celebrity lights' in Waterloo.

South Bank beach to go ahead in 2006

Lambeth councillors last night voted to approve plans for a sandy beach to be installed next summer on the coach park alongside Hungerford Bridge and on part of Jubilee Gardens.
