Indian state gives £400k for Basaveshwara statue on Albert Embankment

The chief minister of the Indian state of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa, has presented the former Mayor of Lambeth with a cheque for more than £400,000 towards the installation of a statue of the Hindu saint Basaveshwara on Albert Embankment.
