Salvation Army's UK HQ to leave Elephant & Castle
The Salvation Army has announced plans to relocate its UK headquarters from the Elephant & Castle to new buildings next to its William Booth College at Denmark Hill.
Old Kent Road: Southwark wins 'best masterplan' prize
Southwark Council's 20-year plan to build 20,000 new homes along the Old Kent Road has been named 'best masterplan or area strategy' at the New London Awards.
City cancels Thames fireworks over terrorism and crowd fears
