Lithuanica, the Lithuanian grocers by London Bridge has closed, one of the many businesses evicted by the Thameslink 2000 developments. It will be much mourned by me and presumably others. I now have nowhere nearby to go to get all the lovely food I was brought up with.

Any other fans out there know where there are any other branches of Lithuanica in London? I can find very little trace of it on the web.

There are plenty of Polish shops around these days, but none locally that I know of except the small one in the New Kent Rd. Lithuanica was a particularly good place. Nowhere else has the range and prices. (sob, sob...)

Yes, well spotted Rabbie!

You are right, they are all a long way, but Stratford is a doddle on the Jubilee line so I might be off there today. Thanks.
