our only day without post was Monday!! I was thinking earlier today about how the postal service used to be portrayed when I was a child - always getting through, rain, hail or shine!!!

Got a letter from BT last saturday saying my Broadband hub would be delivered on 4th Jan between 7am and 2pm so I took the day off so I could be sure to get it and spend the day setting up and playing with my new computer.
2pm, no delivery so ring BT and get a recorded message saying 'due to adverse weather conditions, expect up to 48 hours delay for Royal Mail deliveries'.
I was expecting a courier service. Probably have to go to Mandela Way to collect now next week.
And the rubbish is piling up as no collection since last week.

Our most recent delivery was last Thursday! It seems that the occasional 'no delivery on Friday and/or Saturday' is now a fixed pattern...
