A friend of mine had an accident in a restaurant and may have a claim. Can anyone recommend a good lawyer that specialises in accident cases? (Preferably on the basis of no win no charge.)
Thanks, Alex

the last time i had a "friend" who so loved the world that he apportioned all his share of blame to it, and then took the world to court, "he" found that satellite TV was a great home for ambulance-chasing lawyers (being liberally stocked with adverts, contact numbers, etc).

may I wish your "friend" and his pet cockroach a speedy recovery

...there's plenty more c**** in the cup.

hmmm...this has got me thinking, last year while getting my husband out of a black taxi at Southwark Registry office the wheels got stuck in the cobbles, I could neither move backwards or forwards. I was stuck in rather an unelegant pose for a lady of my ahem..mature years and build.

Dons head was about ten inches from the ground and I was desperately holding onto the handles so he would not crash down. It was only when someone saw the predicament that I was in and jumped into the taxi and lifted the front of the wheelchair out.

Question: Southwark Council were aware that there was a problem with the cobbles and safety as there had been several accidents already there, as I was told by one member of the staff that someone had broken their neck on the cobbles! But the council were unable to take action because English Heritage stopped them altering the frontage..

So could I take any action against the council for damage to my back as since this incident I have had back problems that did not exist prior to this event? especially as ten months have passed.

from Mrs Cockroach! :-)

p.s. and I hate the compensation culture too...

and the porcine element takes to the sky...
